2008 Day Camps with Holly Pottinger

Holly Pottinger has over 25 years of experience teaching beginner riders. Her teaching program is based on learning through having fun with a emphasis on saftey. Kids learn all aspects of horse and pony care as well as saddling and bridling their own pony for lessons and trail rides. Holly presents lessons in a safe environment and with her positive attitude with young riders makes sure that everyone has a rewarding experience with horses. Groups are limited to 8 kids so that everyone gets individual attention and instruction.

Following her own advice in that you can always learn something new about horses, Holly is a attending an instructor's clinic with the Certified Horsemanship Association in Spruce Grove in Alberta in April 2008 in order to up grade her teaching skills and bring the best riding experience to your kids in 2008.

Kids have two of riding lessons each day and enjoy other activities such as hay rides and nature walks.
They will have an oppurtunity to ride western or english and to try driving a horse in a cart.
They will learn about feeding and caring for the horses and ponies that live at Northern Twilight Farm.
Lessons programs follow CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) standards and kids have the oppurtunity to ride a test at the end of the week to check their skills and earn CHA rewards.


Full Day camps are for kids aged 8-16 years.

Half day camps are for kids aged 4-7 years.

Holly Pottinger also offers weekly riding lessons for beginner and intermediate riders of all ages.
Ride one of the farm's well schooled horses or ponies or bring your own.

Northern Twilight Farm is now offering pony team wagon and sleigh rides for family fun.
Enjoy the scenery as you ride behind a team of adorable pair Welsh Ponies.
Great for family get togethers and birthday parties.

1 hour wagon ride for your private group.
$50 for the first two people.
$10 for each additional person.
Kids under 5 years ride for free with a parent or guardian.
Maximum of 10 people.
